Homebody (2023), Game Grumps / Rogue Games

Director / Lead Designer / Co-Writer / 3D Environment Artist / Programmer

I created and directed this game along with amazing teams at Game Grumps and Rogue Games.

I designed the game’s non-linear, looping narrative and planned and co-wrote the story and game script (alongside co-writer Leighton Gray) and scripted and directed all in-engine cutscenes.

I led the design of the game’s interlocking puzzles, hint system, level layouts, and the experience of the enemy AI (which was implemented by Alex Belzer.)

I directed the visual art of the game, designed the human cast and oversaw the design of the killer (designed by John Green) and made notes for revisions on the 3D character models (modeled and textured by Cherylynn Lima.) I modeled and textured the principal 3D art for the game’s locations and puzzles and led a team of 3D environment artists for additional assets.

Here’s an interview with me and co-writer Leighton Gray talking about the design, themes and writing of the game.

Homebody is a survival horror puzzle game about a group of friends haunted by memories of the past and hunted by a relentless killer. Move on or die trying.
